3^rd ANNUAL CALIFORNIA CHRISTMAS PARTY

         Celebrate the season – California style – tasting the best wines in the Golden State and “hang ten” with a sunglass wear-in, beach towel tote-in, surf-short wear-in Santa!

         OLD SACRAMENTO, CA (October 5, 2007) — On Thursday, December 13, 2007, Discover California! Wine Bar & Tasting Room will present its 3^rd Annual California Christmas Party, featuring all things California; California wines, California foods, California décor and even a “California-nized Santa.”

         The event will be held at Discover California! Wine Bar & Tasting Room – Sacramento’s only underground wine bar – located at 114 J Street in Old Sacramento, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  The cost is $15 per person and includes a Discover California! logo wine glass and hourly drawings for prizes, including Discover California’s signature California Christmas gift basket, featuring Earthquake Zinfandel, Ghirardelli chocolates, Blue Diamond almonds, Gilroy Garlic seasoning, Bear Flag coffee and a California State bird ornament.

         A bikini-clad hostess will greet guests and provide sunny beach-themed gifts such as: beach balls, sunglasses and sun visors.                                                                                            

         Celebrate the season – California style – tasting the best wines in the Golden State and “hanging ten” with a sunglass wear-in, beach towel tote-in, surf-short wear-in Santa!

         A special California Christmas tree decorated with hundreds of California postcards will serve as the perfect backdrop for photos with Santa.

 About Discover California! Wine Bar & Tasting Room Grand Opening:
On Thursday, April 12, 2007, Discover California! Wine Bar & Tasting Room hosted a grand opening celebration with a ceremonial cutting of the wine vine rather than the customary red ribbon.  Guests enjoyed samplings from the small plates menu and wine tasting courtesy of local wineries.  In addition, guests were treated to a brief, but interesting tour of Sacramento’s original street level.
